Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Assisting in planning and managing construction projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain project schedules.
  • Monitoring project budgets and reporting any variances to senior management.
  • Supporting in preparing project documentation, including schedules, contracts, and reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies on-site.
  • Providing regular updates on project progress to the project manager and stakeholders.
  • Assisting in resolving any project-related issues or challenges that arise.
  • Conducting site visits to monitor construction progress and quality standards.

The Successful Applicant

The right candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Educational background in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience support multifamily and/or affordable housing construction projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
