Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Assist Project Managers in managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, owners, and field teams to maintain project progress and quality standards.
  • Track project costs and assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and change management.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Utilize project management software to maintain accurate records, schedules, and communication.
  • Monitor project milestones and proactively address issues impacting schedule or budget.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, project requirements, and company best practices.
  • Support successful project delivery on projects valued at $20M or greater.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or in a related construction management role.
  • Experience overseeing at least one ground-up building project.
  • Prior experience on apartment, hospital, library, school, or university construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects with a minimum value of $20 million.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using PlanGrid and Procore.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
