Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction - NoVA will:

  • Support project management activities from pre‑construction through close‑out
  • Track and maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal project teams
  • Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, and change order pricing
  • Monitor quality control, safety compliance, and project documentation
  • Participate in project meetings, reporting, and schedule updates
  • Support IDIQ, task‑order, design‑build, and fast‑track delivery methods
  • Assist with project close‑out and turnover documentation

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction - NoVA will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-3+ years of experience with a commercial or institutional general contractor
  • Working knowledge of construction means, methods, and project controls
  • Experience supporting subcontractor coordination and self‑performed work
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
