Job Description

As an Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Project Managers throughout all phases of construction
  • Assisting with project budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and engineers
  • Tracking project progress and maintaining project documentation
  • Assisting with procurement and contract administration
  • Participating in project meetings and preparing meeting minutes
  • Monitoring cost reports and helping maintain budget controls
  • Supporting quality control and safety initiatives
  • Maintaining project logs and reporting requirements
  • Assisting with project closeout and turnover activities
  • Building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Manhattan

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction project management, project engineering, or project coordination
  • Experience working on commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, or mixed-use projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation
  • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, contracts, and project controls
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to advance into a Project Manager position
