Job Description

As an Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Project Managers through all phases of project delivery
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and change order logs
  • Coordinating architects, designers, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Assisting with procurement and contract administration
  • Maintaining project schedules and milestone updates
  • Tracking project documentation and reporting requirements
  • Participating in client meetings and project coordination calls
  • Supporting Superintendents and field teams with daily operations
  • Assisting with quality control and project closeout activities
  • Monitoring project progress and helping resolve issues
  • Building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in project coordination, project engineering, or assistant project management
  • Experience with luxury residential interior renovations
  • Exposure to penthouses, brownstones, duplexes, townhouses, or custom residences
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation and project controls
  • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and scheduling
  • Familiarity with custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, and specialty finishes
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project management software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Desire to grow into a Project Manager role
