Job Description

As an Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Project Managers throughout all phases of project delivery
  • Assisting with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and change order logs
  • Coordinating architects, designers, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Assisting with procurement and contract administration
  • Maintaining project schedules and milestone updates
  • Tracking project documentation and reporting requirements
  • Supporting field teams and Superintendents with project coordination
  • Assisting with custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, and specialty finish packages
  • Coordinating co-op and condominium board requirements
  • Participating in project meetings and preparing meeting minutes
  • Supporting project closeout and punch-list completion

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in Project Engineering, Project Coordination, or Assistant Project Management
  • Experience supporting high-end residential interior renovation projects
  • Exposure to brownstones, penthouses, duplexes, co-ops, townhouses, or luxury apartments
  • Knowledge of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, and specialty finishes
  • Understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project controls
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related construction software
  • Desire to grow into a Project Manager role
