Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will report to senior project leadership and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of K-12 and higher education construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of education construction projects.
  • Support project budgeting, cost tracking, procurement, and change management activities.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, reports, meeting minutes, and documentation.
  • Monitor project progress and help ensure milestones are achieved on schedule.
  • Support contract administration, RFIs, submittals, and project closeout activities.
  • Help maintain quality, safety, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

For the Assistant Project Manager we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting commercial construction projects as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role.
  • Experience with K-12, higher education, municipal, healthcare, or other institutional construction projects preferred.
  • Understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to develop into a Project Manager role.
