The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to help manage all phases of construction, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, documentation, and client communication. Our client is a General Contractor with a successful track record building Estate Homes in South Florida from Miami to Jupiter Island.

Job Description

  • Assist in managing ultra-luxury residential construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover.
  • Coordinate and track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Support project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Assist with subcontractor bidding, contract administration, and procurement activities.
  • Review and process subcontractor invoices, pay applications, and purchase orders.
  • Help develop and maintain project schedules and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, consultants, and municipal agencies.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action item reports.
  • Support field operations by ensuring timely delivery of materials and information.
  • Monitor project quality standards and assist with punch list management.
  • Maintain accurate project records using Procore and other project management systems.
  • Assist in obtaining permits, inspections, certificates of occupancy, and closeout documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

The Successful Applicant

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
    • 2-5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Coordinator with a luxury residential builder.
    • Strong understanding of construction documents, scheduling, project administration, and cost management.
    • Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with field teams, consultants, owners, and design professionals.
    • Experience working on houses $20M and above
