Job Description

  • Project Management: Support the Project Manager in delivering a 240-unit, multi-building multifamily project
  • Documentation: Assist with traditional APM functions including RFIs, submittals, document control, and project coordination.
  • Quality Control: Interface directly with subcontractors to coordinate work, resolve issues, and ensure project timelines are maintained.
  • Schedule Management: Contribute to project scheduling efforts and assist with tracking progress against milestones.
  • Procurement: Participate in procurement and purchasing activities, including buyout support and vendor coordination.
  • Team Leadership: Help free up the Project Manager to oversee multiple projects by taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in construction (not solely administrative-focused).
  • Proven experience engaging directly with subcontractors, coordinating field activities, and supporting project execution.
  • Experience with scheduling and purchasing processes within construction projects.
  • Well-rounded construction background; exposure to multiple project types is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively both on-site and in an office setting on a regular basis.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and utilize project management platforms (Project Insights experience is a plus).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
