Job Description

  • Support Project Managers and Operations leadership throughout all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout
  • Assist in coordinating project teams to maintain schedules, budgets, quality standards, and project objectives
  • Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to support successful project execution
  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, meeting minutes, daily reports, submittals, and project records
  • Assist with procurement activities, subcontractor coordination, material tracking, and resource planning
  • Monitor project scope and support change management processes to ensure proper documentation and approvals
  • Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and owners to facilitate project progress
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate updates with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support budgeting, invoicing, estimating activities, and procurement documentation
  • Conduct jobsite visits to monitor progress, support safety initiatives, and verify quality standards
  • Track project milestones and provide regular status updates to leadership teams
  • Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager will have:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on-site in West Springfield, MA and travel to project sites throughout Western Massachusetts and Connecticut
  • Interest in pursuing a long-term career in construction project management



Preferred

  • Experience supporting Project Managers, Project Engineers, or construction administration teams
  • Experience within commercial, public, educational, multifamily, mixed-use, or affordable housing construction
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, or a related field
  • Experience with construction management and accounting software
  • Procore experience strongly preferred
  • Bluebeam experience preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) a plus
