Job Description

  • Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple construction and landscape development projects.
  • Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and internal field personnel.
  • Monitor project budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and purchase orders.
  • Support the preparation and submission of RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track project schedules and proactively identify potential delays or issues.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Assist with project forecasting, reporting, and closeout documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all project files remain organized and up to date.
  • Support permitting, inspections, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project partners.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-5 years of project coordination, assistant project management, or construction management experience.
  • Experience within landscape construction, civil construction, site development, or general contracting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, Viewpoint, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated team player with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout New Jersey as needed.
