This role sits on the owner's side, acting as a key field-based engineering resource supporting complex infrastructure projects. You'll bridge the gap between design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that utility and site development work is delivered safely, on time, and in full compliance with design intent.

Job Description

  • Provide on-site engineering support across utilities, roadway, and site development activities.
  • Coordinate daily with contractors, superintendents, and project teams to support execution of work.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals to guide field activities and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing practical, compliant solutions in real time.
  • Support verification of materials, installation methods, and system performance.
  • Act as a key liaison between design engineers, project management, and field teams.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in civil inspection or construction oversight
  • Strong experience in underground utilities, roadways, and site development
  • Knowledge of municipal, DOT, and utility standards
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and reports
  • Experience working with contractors, engineers, and owner representatives
  • Certifications (NICET, ICC, or equivalent) preferred
