With a strong reputation for safety, quality, and innovation, the company delivers complex projects for both public and private sector clients while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.Job DescriptionSupport Project Managers with the planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects.Coordinate daily project activities between field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and clients.Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting.Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule or cost impacts.Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.Collaborate with estimating and procurement teams to support material purchases and subcontractor coordination.Track quantities, productivity, and project performance metrics.Assist with project reporting, documentation, and client meetings.Support permit acquisition and regulatory compliance requirements.Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and company safety policies.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantA successful Civil Project Engineer should have:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.2+ years of experience in civil construction, infrastructure, utility, site development, highway, or heavy civil projects.Strong understanding of construction methods, project controls, scheduling, and contract administration.Knowledge of construction software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or AutoCAD.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.EIT certification or progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a plus.Willingness to travel to project sites throughout New Jersey as required.What's on OfferCompetitive base salary ($80,000 - $120,000+, depending on experience).Annual performance bonus opportunity.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with company match.Generous paid time off and paid holidays.Career advancement opportunities with a growing civil construction organization.Professional development, training, and certification support.Exposure to large-scale infrastructure and construction projects.Collaborative team environment with strong leadership and mentorship.Company vehicle allowance and/or mileage reimbursement, where applicable.Interested?
