This individual will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

Job Description

  • Manage civil construction projects from pre-construction through final completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate field operations with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and engineering teams.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders.
  • Monitor project costs and prepare accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Lead project meetings with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services as required.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives.
  • Support business development efforts through client relationship management and repeat business opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Civil Project Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience within civil construction.
  • Strong background in site development, earthwork, utilities, roadwork, heavy highway, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, and project controls.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working with municipal, county, state, or private development projects is highly desirable.
