Job Description

Construction Assistant Project Manager - Manhattan, NY

    • Support Project Managers with day-to-day management of construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
    • Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and contract documentation.
    • Track project schedules, budgets, cost reports, and procurement logs.
    • Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
    • Participate in project meetings, site walks, and coordination sessions.
    • Maintain organized and accurate project records using project management systems.
    • Help ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

    • 2-5+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer working for a general contractor.
    • Experience on commercial construction or interior projects in NYC preferred.
    • Strong understanding of construction documents and project workflows.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within project management.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to work between field and office teams.
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
