Job Description

Construction Commercial Project Manager - Groton, CT

    • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects, from preconstruction planning through final turnover.
    • Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost reporting, and forecasting.
    • Lead subcontractor procurement, buyout, and coordination.
    • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract documentation.
    • Coordinate closely with superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with schedule, scope, and quality standards.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and consultants.
    • Identify risks and proactively resolve issues to maintain project performance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Project Manager should have:

    • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager working for a general contractor.
    • Strong background in commercial construction (office, industrial, institutional, or similar).
    • Solid understanding of construction documents, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
    • Proven ability to lead project teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
    • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
    • Experience working on Connecticut-based projects preferred.
