Job Description

Construction Ground Up Senior Superintendent - Groton, CT

    • Lead all on‑site construction activities for $100M+ ground‑up projects from mobilization through final completion.
    • Oversee and coordinate site work, foundations, structural concrete, and stick‑frame construction.
    • Manage subcontractor sequencing, manpower, and productivity to maintain schedule and quality benchmarks.
    • Enforce site safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
    • Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and logistics in collaboration with project management teams.
    • Conduct daily site walks, toolbox talks, and maintain detailed daily reports.
    • Serve as the senior on‑site authority, resolving field issues and driving execution.

A successful Commercial Superintendent should have:

    • 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent working for a general contractor.
    • Proven experience leading ground‑up projects valued at $100M+, specifically in Connecticut.
    • Strong hands‑on background in site work, concrete, and stick‑frame construction.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage large trade forces and complex construction sequencing.
    • Deep understanding of construction documents, schedules, and field operations.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
