Job Description

Construction Commercial Interiors Project Manager - Manhattan, NYC

    • Manage all phases of commercial interiors projects, including preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, construction, and closeout.
    • Lead subcontractor buyout, coordination, and performance management.
    • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, invoicing, and contract administration.
    • Coordinate closely with superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with scope, quality, and schedule.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and building management.
    • Navigate NYC site logistics, building rules, and occupied space constraints.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Project Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager working for a general contractor.
  • Strong background in commercial interiors / tenant improvement projects (office, retail, healthcare, or institutional interiors).
  • Proven experience managing projects in Manhattan or dense urban environments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage fast‑paced schedules, multiple stakeholders, and detailed interior scopes.
