We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the construction of luxury custom and semi-custom homes throughout the Washington, D.C. Metro area. This is a highly autonomous field-based role responsible for managing schedules, budgets, quality, client interactions, and overall project execution from groundbreaking through warranty.

Job Description

The Construction Manager will:

  • Manage the construction of luxury custom and semi-custom homes throughout Arlington, McLean, Falls Church, Vienna, Bethesda, and surrounding DC Metro markets.
  • Coordinate and schedule trade partners and vendors to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets throughout the construction cycle.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain safety, quality, and progress.
  • Lead pre-drywall and pre-settlement walkthroughs with homeowners.
  • Communicate project updates and guide clients through the construction process.
  • Educate homeowners on warranty procedures and performance standards.
  • Manage customer service and warranty-related items after home delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams during weekly office meetings and project reviews.
  • Oversee multiple active projects simultaneously, typically managing 2 to 4 homes based on project scope and complexity.
  • Utilize Buildertrend and other tools to track progress, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Travel between job sites throughout the region, spending the majority of work time in the field.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Manager should have:

  • 3+ years of experience in homebuilding, residential construction, or a similar construction management role.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and plan ahead.
  • Comfortable working in a field-based role and traveling between active job sites.
  • Strong commitment to quality, customer service, and project execution
