Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP)
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with contract documents, specs, and codes
  • Lead preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections for key scopes of work
  • Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors to address quality issues proactively
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements
  • Maintain documentation including daily QC reports, punch lists, and deficiency logs
  • Ensure all testing and inspection requirements are fulfilled and properly documented
  • Interface with owners, architects, and third-party inspectors to ensure alignment on quality expectations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to construction quality and processes

The Successful Applicant

  • 7+ years of experience in construction quality control, field engineering, or superintendent roles
  • Experience on ground-up projects (commercial, healthcare, institutional, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
  • Experience with QC plans, inspection protocols, and documentation processes
  • Familiarity with USACE/NAVFAC/VA standards is a plus (especially for federal work)
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across active job sites
