Job Description

  • Manage multiple affordable housing development projects through various stages of planning, financing, approvals, and execution.
  • Coordinate with city, state, and government agencies throughout the development and entitlement process.
  • Navigate affordable housing funding programs, financing structures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal development leadership, consultants, lenders, agencies, and other project stakeholders.
  • Drive entitlement, permitting, financing, and approval processes to maintain project milestones.
  • Support projects as they transition from predevelopment into construction.
  • Track project deliverables, schedules, approvals, and outstanding development requirements.
  • Work directly with senior development leadership on a growing pipeline of Greater Boston affordable housing projects.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Development Project Manager should have:

  • At least 5 years of affordable housing development experience.
  • Affordable housing development experience in Massachusetts or Boston is required.
  • Strong understanding of affordable housing programs, funding structures, and financing processes.
  • Experience working with the agencies and government entities involved in Massachusetts affordable housing development.
  • Knowledge of entitlements, approvals, permitting, and other complex development processes.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with public agencies, consultants, community stakeholders, and internal project teams.
  • Experience managing multiple development projects or workstreams simultaneously.
