Job Description

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure budget adherence and financial planning alignment.
  • Mentor and supervise accounting staff to enhance team performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline
  • MBA, CPA, or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
  • Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage high-performing teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
