Job Description

  • The role has responsibilities to lead BD efforts in the West Coast offices for the firm, including California, Washington and Colorado.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand client portfolios
  • Collaborate with marketing and agency teams to identify and pursue new opportunities
  • Manage high-level client relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships
  • Analyze market trends to identify potential growth areas within the professional services industry
  • Lead negotiations and close high-value deals with prospective clients
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Oversee the development of tailored proposals and presentations for clients
  • Track and report on business development activities and outcomes

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director of Business Development should have:

  • 10+ years' experience with business development and client relationship management in law firm or professional services
  • 5+ years' experience with direct people management
  • Strong collaboration skills with marketing and agency teams
  • Ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing high-value deals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
