Job Description

  • Develop and implement business plans with department and practice leaders
  • Monitor financial performance and address risks and opportunities
  • Analyze pipeline demand and manage capacity planning for the practice
  • Serve as primary operational contact for department leadership
  • Drive long-term planning, growth strategy and performance tracking
  • Aggregate and analyze hours, rates, revenue, headcount and budgets
  • Organize partner meetings, set agendas and drive follow‑up actions
  • Monitor KPIs including utilization, realization and cash expenditure
  • Prepare data, analysis and presentations for leadership and board use
  • Support practice management tools and operational initiatives
  • Partner with marketing and business development on growth opportunities
  • Facilitate leadership succession planning
  • Draft internal communications and presentations
  • Mentor, supervise and develop direct reports
  • Oversee staffing coverage, timekeeping and policy compliance
  • Participate in hiring, performance management and employee lifecycle events

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in management roles
  • Background in law firms, professional services, consulting or financial institutions
  • Proven experience supporting senior executives
  • Highly strategic, analytical and commercially minded
  • Strong communicator with excellent judgment and discretion
  • Able to lead through influence and manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable with travel and extended or weekend hours as required
