This client is a global full-service multibillion dollar CDMO/CRO which has a number of capabilities across the US, UK, Europe, and Asia. The business is world-renowned for small molecules discovery, development, and manufacturing services and works with all major Big Pharma businesses. The business has had strong YoY growth including a record year in 2025.

Job Description

  • Build and expand strategic relationships with Big Pharma clients, particularly large multinational organizations.
  • Identify and grow opportunities within existing accounts while developing new client relationships across small molecule services.
  • Collaborate with global business development teams to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and execute account strategies that support pipeline expansion and order generation.
  • Lead proposal development, aligning client needs with technical capabilities and commercial considerations.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor movements, and client activity to inform strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to maximize internal capabilities and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Oversee commercial documentation, ensuring appropriate terms and risk management.
  • Establish governance frameworks and performance metrics for key partnerships.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, contributing to internal strategy and capability development.

The Successful Applicant

  • PhD Chemistry or closely related discipline.
    Must have at least 10 years of experience in biopharma including direct Big Pharma experience in a CMC / Drug Substance capacity.
  • Must have direct experience in biopharma managing external CDMO relationships, specifically in CMC
  • Strong business acumen and interest in moving into a commercial/business role.
