They specialize in transmission, distribution, and substation projects that improve grid reliability and support the evolving energy infrastructure across North America.Job DescriptionPerform electrical engineering and design for substations ranging from 12kV, 34.5kV, 69kV, 115kV, 138kV, 230kV, 345kV, and up to 500kV.Develop and review one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay panel layouts.Design substation equipment layouts including power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, CCVTs, surge arresters, bus systems, and control houses.Perform equipment sizing, station service calculations, voltage drop studies, and load calculations.Support grounding system design, lightning protection, and station battery system design.Coordinate with protection & controls, civil/structural, transmission line, and construction teams.Review vendor drawings, equipment specifications, and technical submittals.Support project scopes, schedules, budgets, and engineering deliverables.Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and energization activities.Ensure designs comply with utility standards, NESC, NEC, IEEE, and client requirements.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
