We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer - Transmission Line to support the design, analysis, and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects. This role will work closely with multidisciplinary teams on projects ranging from new transmission line development to system upgrades and reliability improvements across utility and energy clients.

Job Description

  • Perform transmission line design for overhead HV/EHV systems
  • Prepare engineering calculations, routing evaluations, and technical specifications
  • Develop and review:
    • Structure loading calculations
    • Sag and tension analysis
    • Pole and tower spotting
    • Foundation recommendations
    • Construction packages and drawings
  • Utilize industry software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and related engineering tools
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, and substation engineering teams
  • Support project execution, schedules, budgets, and client communication
  • Ensure compliance with NESC, utility standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical support during construction, procurement, and field activities
  • Participate in quality reviews and engineering deliverables

The Successful Applicant

A successful Electrical Engineer - Transmission Line should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of transmission line engineering experience preferred
  • Experience with overhead transmission systems ranging from 69kV to 500kV preferred
  • Working knowledge of:
    • NESC
    • Transmission line design principles
    • Utility engineering standards
  • Experience with PLS-CADD and related software strongly preferred
  • EIT or PE license preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
