The Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets from early conceptual phases through competitive bid and GMP development. This individual will work closely with preconstruction, project management, and operations teams to ensure scopes are well-defined, risks are understood, and projects are positioned for success.

Job Description

  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to understand project scope
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates
  • Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
  • Assist with proposal preparation, bid reviews, and scope clarifications
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify risks, assumptions, and opportunities
  • Maintain organized estimating files and historical cost data

The Successful Applicant

Junior / Entry-Level

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Internship, co-op, or early professional experience in construction preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail



Mid-Level / Senior

  • 3-7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and materials
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines concurrently
  • Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $95,000 - $125,000 annually
  • Salary may exceed this range based on experience, expertise, and demonstrated impact
  • Compensation is reviewed periodically and may increase with performance, growth, and role expansion
