Job Description

The Healthcare Construction Project Manager - DC Metro will:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of hospital construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Partner with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure milestones are met
  • Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement corrective actions
  • Manage budgets, track costs, and ensure financial efficiency across all phases
  • Review and approve invoices, contracts, and change orders
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety codes, and build standards
  • Conduct site inspections and enforce quality control measures
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to avoid delays and cost overruns
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet specialized facility requirements (infection control, patient safety, equipment integration)

The Successful Applicant

The Healthcare Construction Project Manager - DC Metro will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of construction project management experience, ideally within healthcare
  • Strong background working with a General Contractor (required or previous experience)
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
  • Deep understanding of healthcare construction standards, compliance, and best practices
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage high-visibility projects independently
