Our client is seeking a Human Capital Associate to join their global HR team as the HR representative for its New York office. This newly created position comes as the firm continues to expand across the U.S. and globally, creating an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys balancing recruiting, payroll, employee support, and HR operations within a high-performance investment environment.

About Our Client

The firm employs 300 professionals and counting across Asia and the United States. The HR Associate will sit in the New York office and will work closely with U.S. leadership while partnering extensively with a well-established Human Capital team across Asia. Full-time opportunity onsite in Midtown. Up to $115K base.

Job Description

  • Support end-to-end recruitment activities for U.S.-based roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers and global Human Capital teams throughout the hiring process.
  • Own end-to-end U.S. payroll administration. Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and employment requirements.
  • Coordinate onboarding, including HR system setup, background checks, and new hire orientation.
  • Manage offboarding activities, terminations, final pay calculations, and benefits administration.
  • Coordinate U.S. work visa processes in partnership with external immigration counsel.
  • Partner with global HR colleagues to adapt policies for U.S. regulatory requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-5 years of HR experience.
  • Current end-to-end payroll experience required.
  • Solid understanding of New York employment and labor laws.
  • Experience supporting the full employee life cycle including recruitment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
  • Experience within financial services, asset management, hedge funds, private equity, or professional services environments preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
