Job Description

  • Develop and manage relationships with commercial building owners, property managers, facility directors, and end users throughout the Greater Boston market.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities for HVAC service agreements, equipment replacements, retrofits, controls upgrades, and energy-efficiency projects.
  • Maintain and grow an existing portfolio of accounts while consistently generating new revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct customer site visits to evaluate HVAC systems, assess operational challenges, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, service agreements, and capital improvement recommendations tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with service technicians, project managers, estimators, and operations teams to develop comprehensive customer solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales and project lifecycle, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships that result in recurring service revenue and repeat project business.
  • Create and execute territory and account growth plans to achieve or exceed annual sales goals.
  • Leverage CRM tools to manage sales activities, track opportunities, forecast revenue, and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Coordinate project handoffs to operations and support successful execution through project completion.
  • Stay current on HVAC technologies, industry trends, energy regulations, and sustainability initiatives to provide consultative value to customers.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within healthcare, life sciences, commercial real estate, manufacturing, education, and other key market sectors.
  • Participate in networking events, industry associations, trade organizations, and customer-facing events to strengthen market presence.
  • Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and project terms while maintaining profitability objectives.
  • Work closely with internal leadership to develop strategies for expanding market share and strengthening customer retention.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of HVAC sales, mechanical contracting, facilities services, or related B2B account management experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, maintenance programs, retrofit projects, and building operations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and developing long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to read construction documents, mechanical drawings, and project specifications is preferred.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management and pipeline-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally to customer sites.
