Our client is a privately held real estate investment, development, and operating company with approximately 30 employees and a long-standing reputation as a leading owner and developer of commercial real estate assets. The organization invests in and operates office, mixed-use, industrial, residential, and transit-oriented properties while leveraging a fully integrated platform that includes development, construction management, leasing, property operations, and asset management.The Senior CM/Owner Representative will play a key role in supporting the company's growing portfolio by overseeing renovation and improvement projects across existing assets. This Senior CM/Owner Representative position offers direct exposure to ownership, development, and asset management teams while helping drive project success throughout the region. The Senior CM/Owner Representative will work closely with leadership to deliver high-quality tenant and building improvement initiatives.

Job Description

  • Serve as the owner's representative for renovation and improvement projects across a commercial real estate portfolio throughout the DC Metro region.
  • Manage interior construction projects including spec suites, office interiors, lobby renovations, and amenity center upgrades.
  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout activities.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide construction management oversight while ensuring projects meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Review project scopes, proposals, contracts, change orders, and project budgets.
  • Leverage strong MEP expertise to evaluate building systems, facility improvements, and project risks.
  • Partner with development, asset management, and property operations teams to support portfolio-wide initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted Senior CM/Owner Representative throughout all phases of project delivery.
  • Support leadership by helping manage an increasing volume of renovation and capital improvement projects across the portfolio.

The Successful Applicant

  • 12+ years of construction management, general contracting, or owner's representative experience.
  • Strong background with commercial interior construction projects.
  • Significant MEP and facilities engineering knowledge.
  • Experience working for a general contractor, construction manager, owner's representative firm, or a combination of these environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project controls.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable operating independently while collaborating with executive leadership.
  • Experience within commercial office, mixed-use, or institutional real estate environments preferred.
  • Ground-up construction experience is not required.
