In this position, you'll join a dynamic engineering team in the execution of client projects. This person will execute process designs primarily within the consumer products industry that includes the investigation and analysis of data to make sound process design decisions aligned with company, client, and project objectives.

Job Description

  • Support process engineering projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
  • Develop engineering calculations, process designs, and technical documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and design basis documents.
  • Perform equipment sizing and selection for pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, control valves, and related process systems.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and contractors to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide on-site support during construction, installation, commissioning, and startup activities at the project site.
  • Troubleshoot process issues, evaluate system performance, and identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Conduct field investigations and gather operational data to support process improvements and capital projects.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and engineering best practices.
  • Build strong client relationships while contributing to successful project execution and long-term business growth.

The Successful Applicant

  • B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in the consumer products industry preferred.
  • Experience in leading or executing process designs in the form of engineering calculations documented on PFD's, P&ID's, general arrangement drawings, specifications, design basis, and associated lists.
  • Knowledge of typical chemicals and fluids used in consumer products applications, interactions with materials of construction, and proper design considerations.
  • Fluency with AutoCAD and Fathom.
  • Understanding of fluid control valves and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with specification and sizing of pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and other process equipment.
  • Great customer relationship skills/management experience.
  • Preferably on-site, in plant, and startup experience
