Job Description

  • Support Project Managers with the planning and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Assist with project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement logs, meeting minutes, and project documentation
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, bid leveling, and buyout
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents for scope and constructability
  • Track project schedules, critical milestones, material deliveries, and long-lead procurement
  • Participate in owner, architect, subcontractor, and internal project meetings
  • Work closely with Superintendents to support field operations and resolve project challenges
  • Assist with subcontractor contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and change management
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential cost, schedule, or coordination issues
  • Support project quality control and safety initiatives
  • Assist with punch lists, inspections, turnover documentation, and final closeout
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and trade partners

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in commercial construction as an Assistant Project Manager
  • Experience with ground-up commercial construction strongly preferred
  • Background in healthcare, multifamily, municipal, and/or retail commercial projects
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
