About Our Client

Our client is a top general contractor in the West averaging $200M+ in revenue annually with an office located in Phoenix with expectation of hitting $400M in 2026. Their primary market in MI is Multifamily but also work in commercial, mixed-use, and residential markets. Due to a strong pipeline, they are immediately seeking an experienced and driven multifamily project manager in Detroit.

Job Description

  • Manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and team members to align project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and address potential issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement and allocation of resources effectively.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and vendors to support project success.
  • Implement best practices in project management and construction operations.
  • Train and develop staff project engineers / assistants.

The Successful Applicant

    • 5+ years of experience working with a multifamily construction GC preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.
    • Multifamily, mixed-use, senior living, or hospitality experience.
    • Open to SPM if experience matches.
    • Experience with mentoring/overseeing junior PE's.
    • Manage administrative construction duties, including document control.
    • Prepare submittal schedules for approval and distribution.
    • Assist the Project Manager with change orders, subcontractor scheduling and invoicing, reviewing monthly job costs.
    • Assist the Superintendent with RFI reports, QA/QC documentation, and construction field operations.
    • Assist with preconstruction tasks, including estimating and quantification.
    • Collect and log closeout documents and punch lists.
    • Hard-working, driven individual looking to learn and develop their talent.
