The Infrastructure Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for monitoring network infrastructure, responding to alerts, and troubleshooting connectivity issues across enterprise, data center, and cloud environments.

The client is is a leading financial services firm based. This is a hybrid role based in Iselin, NJ (two days on-site per week). Candidate must be local to the area for on site interviews.

Job Description



    • Monitor network infrastructure using tools like SolarWinds, respond to alerts, and ensure system availability across enterprise and cloud environments.


    • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, routing, firewall, and performance issues through ticket-based operations and real-time incident response.


    • Execute network changes, including firewall rule updates, firmware upgrades, and configuration modifications under strict change management processes.


    • Act as the primary point of contact for network incidents, coordinating with L3 engineers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to drive resolution and root cause analysis.


    • Maintain operational documentation such as runbooks and network diagrams, and contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.

The Successful Applicant



  • Brings strong hands-on troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, firewalls, and cloud networking, with the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure incident scenarios.


  • Has proven experience in NAC or operations environments, managing alerts, tickets, and incidents with precision and accountability.


  • Demonstrates solid expertise in routing and switching, with exposure to data center technologies like Cisco ACI or the ability to quickly adapt to ACI environments.


  • Possesses experience with network security and access control platforms, particularly NAC solutions such as Cisco ISE, along with multi-vendor firewall environments.


  • Has working knowledge of wireless networking, with preference for candidates experienced in Meraki or other centralized/cloud-managed Wi-Fi solutions, and communicates effectively across teams
