We are partnering with a growing healthcare organization seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to support payroll operations during a critical period. This is a temp, hybrid role with only 1 day in office in the Melrose Park, IL area!

As the company continues to grow and evolve, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to help ensure a seamless payroll experience for a large and geographically diverse workforce.

Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state workforce on a biweekly schedule.
  • Ensure payroll is completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversee payroll reconciliations, audits, reporting, and payroll record maintenance.
  • Administer wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other payroll deductions.
  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, and operational leaders to resolve payroll-related matters.
  • Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, payroll tax requirements, and company policies.
  • Handle sensitive employee information with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience working with UKG Ready.
  • Strong background processing multi-state payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance, including garnishments, tax levies, and other involuntary deductions.
  • Understanding of payroll taxes and state-specific wage and hour regulations.
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior healthcare, multi-site, or high-volume payroll experience is highly preferred.
