Job Description

As a Project Engineer - Construction - Westchester, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Project Managers and Superintendents throughout all phases of construction
  • Assisting with both ground-up custom homes and high-end residential renovations
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinating subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, and consultants
  • Assisting with budgeting, cost tracking, and project reporting
  • Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Supporting procurement and tracking long-lead materials
  • Maintaining project schedules and tracking critical milestones
  • Assisting with custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, tile, and specialty finish packages
  • Participating in project meetings and documenting action items
  • Conducting site visits and supporting field coordination
  • Assisting with punch lists, closeout, and homeowner turnover

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • 1-4 years of construction experience
  • Experience with ground-up custom home construction
  • Experience with high-end residential interior renovations
  • Exposure to luxury homes, estates, apartments, townhomes, or other custom residential projects
  • Understanding of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, tile, architectural detailing, and luxury finishes
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project controls
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and appreciation for high-quality craftsmanship
  • Desire to advance into an Assistant Project Manager and eventually Project Manager position
