Job Description

  • Support the design and development of overhead and underground distribution systems.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, construction drawings, and design packages in accordance with industry standards.
  • Assist with system modeling, load analysis, and equipment selection.
  • Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and field teams to meet project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Review design work for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and client standards.
  • Participate in field visits, site assessments, and construction support activities.
  • Communicate with clients, utilities, and stakeholders to support project execution and resolve technical issues.
  • Utilize engineering software and Microsoft Office tools for analysis, reporting, and documentation.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and contribute to a strong safety culture.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardization efforts.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Engineer II - Distribution should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • FE/EIT certification required; progress toward PE license preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical distribution engineering.
  • Familiarity with overhead and underground distribution design practices.
  • Basic knowledge of utility standards, NESC, and applicable codes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
