Job Description

  • Assist in the design and development of substation projects, including physical layouts and protection & control systems.
  • Perform engineering calculations and support preparation of drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to meet project scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Support the development of specifications, reports, and construction packages.
  • Review and check design work for accuracy and compliance with standards and guidelines.
  • Participate in field activities such as site visits, testing, and commissioning support.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
  • Utilize engineering software and Microsoft Office tools for analysis, documentation, and reporting.
  • Follow company safety policies and contribute to a strong safety culture.
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts and process enhancements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Engineer II - Substation should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) or EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification required.
  • 2+ years of experience in substation or power systems engineering preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of substation design, protection & control systems, and engineering principles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
