Job Description

  • Lead and oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful execution aligned with client goals, budgets, and schedules
  • Manage projects across multiple sectors including commercial, healthcare, higher education, municipal, and industrial construction
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and operational plans while proactively identifying and mitigating project risks
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering collaboration between Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and clients
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ownership groups and key stakeholders, maintaining strong client relationships through clear communication and problem-solving
  • Ensure all projects are executed in compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, building codes, and company procedures
  • Oversee procurement strategy, contract negotiations, and subcontractor/vendor management to ensure project efficiency and cost control
  • Review and present project financials, progress updates, and operational reporting to executive leadership
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across projects and teams
  • Mentor and develop team members while helping build long-term leadership within the organization

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience within commercial construction
  • Proven experience successfully managing projects ranging from $1M-$20M+
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Experience overseeing budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and overall project operations
  • Proficiency with construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Stable career history demonstrating reliability, leadership growth, and long-term commitment
  • Experience within healthcare, higher education, municipal, industrial, or other complex commercial sectors preferred
