Job Description

The Project Executive will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and oversight for multiple Project Managers and active construction projects simultaneously.
  • Driving project execution from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, housing authorities, and property management groups.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with field personnel, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Mentoring, developing, and supporting project teams to maximize performance and project success.
  • Managing large change orders, project risks, and complex operational challenges.
  • Traveling throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as required to support projects and client relationships.
  • Operating independently while collaborating closely with executive leadership.
  • Supporting strategic growth initiatives and helping attract top construction talent through industry relationships.
  • Playing a key role in expanding the organization's footprint within the DC market and surrounding regions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Executive should have:

  • 10+ years of construction management experience
  • Proven success delivering multifamily renovation, rehabilitation, repositioning, or occupied renovation projects.
  • Affordable housing or low-income housing experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects, project teams, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong client-facing presence with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing tenant-occupied environments and navigating sensitive project conditions.
  • Track record of stable career progression and strong tenure with previous employers.
  • Experience with projects ranging from approximately $10M to $20M+ in value preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction operations across the Mid-Atlantic region is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
