Our client is a well‑established, highly respected General Contractor headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, with over 40 years of success in the market. The firm is a mid‑sized contractor with a strong reputation, long‑tenured employees, and a consistent pipeline of work across Commercial, Healthcare, Hospitality, Academic, and other general construction sectors throughout Central and Northern New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania.

Job Description

  • Project Management: Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously, ranging from approximately $200K to $10M+, from inception through completion
  • Schedule Management: Oversee project schedules, budgets, contracts, change orders, buyouts, and closeout activities
  • Quality Control: Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure project milestones are met
  • Documentation: Utilize MS Project for scheduling and ProjectSight (Procore‑like platform) for project management and documentation
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with safety, quality, and contractual requirements
  • Client-Facing: Support business relationships through professionalism and repeat‑client engagement

The Successful Applicant

  • 15+ years of commercial construction project management experience with reputable General Contractors
  • Strong background in both ground‑up construction and interior fit‑out projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently rather than only large single projects
  • Experience managing projects valued approximately $5M-$20M, with flexibility across smaller and mid‑sized scopes
  • Comfortable being client‑facing and operating independently with minimal oversight
  • Experience running projects start‑to‑finish, including preconstruction through closeout
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • College degree preferred but not required-experience is valued over formal education
  • NYC interiors experience is acceptable if the candidate resides in New Jersey and is commutable
