We are seeking an experienced Building and Construction Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of construction projects throughout the Greater Huntsville markets. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives are consistently achieved.Projects are typically large ($20M +), and located within driving distance from Huntsville.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule goals are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules while coordinating activities between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and financial reporting to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify risks and resolve issues proactively.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, project updates, and problem resolution.
  • Coordinate procurement activities and subcontractor buyout processes to support project execution.
  • Monitor project performance and implement strategies to mitigate delays, budget impacts, and operational challenges.
  • Prepare and present project reports, forecasts, and progress updates to leadership and stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Project Management with Commercial experience
  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
  • Proven track record of successful projects
  • Working knowledge of construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
  • Desire to grow career in Huntsville
