Job Description

This Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Manage K-12 and higher education construction projects from preconstruction through final delivery
  • Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and change order management
  • Lead subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and scope coordination
  • Work closely with Superintendents to maintain schedules, especially within tight school timelines and phased construction environments
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for school districts, administrators, architects, and consultants
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards, building codes, and district-specific requirements

The Successful Applicant

An ideal Project Manager will have:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong preference for education or public sector projects
  • Experience managing ground-up and renovation projects, ideally within occupied environments
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including school administrators and community partners
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and construction management software
