My client is a Kansas City general contractor that specializes primarily in industrial construction, with additional work across commercial, retail, and emerging healthcare projects. With a project backlog of $100M my client is expanding its team. Job Description

  • Manage industrial and commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, contracts, and procurement activities.
  • Lead client communications and maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, design teams, and ownership groups.
  • Review drawings, specifications, estimates, and project scopes to ensure successful execution.
  • Drive project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, and change management.
  • Support bidding, budgeting, and preconstruction efforts on future projects.
  • Operate autonomously while serving as a key leader within the project management team.
  • Work directly alongside company leadership and help support future company growth.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-10+ years of Project Management experience
  • Industrial, healthcare, commercial, or retail project experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred
  • Strong budgeting, estimating, and project financial management capabilities
  • Proven ability to run projects independently from cradle to grave
  • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building skills
  • Team-oriented, laid back personality that aligns with a family-focused culture
