My $500M client established their Kansas City office in 2021. They provide quality general contracting services in multiple markets such as commercial, healthcare, multifamily, light-industrial, office space, government, and data center. They pride themselves on having a customer-centric attitude which has resulted in repeat business and success. The ideal candidate will have 5-15+ years of Project Management experience in the commercial construction space.

Job Description

  • Manage project objectives by balancing contract requirements, financial constraints, schedule expectations, and overall cost considerations.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the Superintendent to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to organizational quality standards.
  • Make informed decisions rooted in a thorough understanding of the project's progress, integrating multiple moving parts to achieve a successful outcome.
  • Align project results with the expectations of the Owner and Architect while controlling schedule, budget, and cost factors.
  • Take responsibility for decisions that influence overall project costs and determine the level of success achieved.
  • Prioritize tasks, plan activities, and organize workflows to maintain project momentum and efficiency.
  • Establish and refine processes or strategies that enhance productivity and translate client expectations into a clear vision of the finished product.
  • Exercise independent judgement on significant issues, including when to adjust procedures, deviate from established standards, or make necessary adaptations to meet both client goals and company objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Clients, Owner Representatives, Architects, and Trade Partners to support future business opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 5-15+ years of project management experience in the general contractor space
  • Experience in leadership and/or management of a team
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, market conditions, and subcontractor trades
  • Proficiency in software and project management tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and decision-making abilities
