This privately held luxury homebuilder specializes in custom and semi‑custom homes in desirable, close‑in DC Metro suburbs. Building roughly 20 homes per year, the company is known for craftsmanship, energy‑efficient design, and a collaborative culture where leadership is accessible and hands‑on. The Project Manager plays a key role in delivering quality homes while working closely with experienced executives in a low‑bureaucracy environment.

Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple custom residential construction projects from start to finish across the DC Metro area. This is a highly autonomous role with significant ownership over daily operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the construction of custom homes across Arlington, Falls Church, Vienna, and Bethesda
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and timelines
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, and overall project execution
  • Conduct pre‑drywall and pre‑settlement walkthroughs with clients
  • Educate homeowners on warranty coverage and performance standards
  • Manage customer service and warranty items after home completion
  • Attend weekly in‑office staff meetings
  • Utilize Buildertrend to manage documentation and project tracking

The Project Manager typically manages 2-4 homes at a time, depending on project complexity and location.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of experience in residential construction or homebuilding
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple job sites
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization and time‑management skills
  • Proactive problem‑solver who thinks several steps ahead
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with construction management software preferred
  • Open to candidates with a range of experience levels
