Our client is a highly regarded national General Contractor specializing in ground-up multifamily construction, with an established presence and strong project pipeline throughout South Florida.

Their portfolio includes affordable, mixed-income and market-rate multifamily developments, with projects ranging from garden-style communities to large-scale mid-rise and high-rise construction.

Job Description

  • Manage ground-up multifamily projects from preconstruction through final completion and closeout.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement and change orders.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, Superintendents and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction progress and proactively resolve schedule, cost and operational challenges.
  • Conduct project meetings and maintain effective communication between field and project teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with safety, quality, budget and schedule expectations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation using Procore or comparable construction management software.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and project partners throughout South Florida.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager should have:

  • 7+ years of construction experience in South Florida.
  • Must have worked directly for a General Contractor, rather than exclusively for a developer or owner's representative.
  • Strong ground-up multifamily construction experience.
  • Proven experience delivering Type I mid-rise and/or high-rise construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience taking projects through the full construction lifecycle from start to finish.
  • Strong, stable employment history rather than frequent moves every 1-2 years.
  • Experience working with reputable General Contractors.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management and project controls.
  • Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
