Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Leading project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and forecasting reports.
  • Identifying project risks early and implementing proactive solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives.
  • Overseeing contract administration, change management, and cost control activities.
  • Coordinating with field leadership to ensure quality, safety, and operational excellence on site.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through consistent communication and exceptional service.
  • Driving project performance while maintaining the company's standards for quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of workmanship.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Base Build Project Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience leading base building construction projects valued at $20M+.
  • Experience delivering K-12, library, municipal, government, higher education, or other institutional projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Self-motivated professional who takes ownership and drives results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred.
